I ran off without my camera today, but I had to snap a camera phone shot of this amazingly dressed woman.

Bugle Call

I noticed this lady playing the bugle outside a coffee shop in the West Village. I started to talk to her and found out that she is 73 years old and has been playing bugle since she was a girl scout. She plays in various spots throughout the Village including outside her favorite coffee shop.

She has been shopping at the same eye glasses store for over 20 years. I have been fortunate enough to be going in for over 10 years at the same location, only this time Iwas glad to meet Maryann. She was so sweet, we chatted about what SoHo used to be like..

Faux Fur

Karla M. Santos snapped this photo in Seattle. This gentleman's faux fur jacket and vintage bag makes for a fun and unconventional look.

Stone Fedora, warm smile

Something about NYC's Flatiron and Madison Square Park that just allows people to smile and '"stop and smell the roses". It seems there are certain areas in this great city where that happens, in most areas, its harder to get people to just stop for a photograph.

Send In Holiday Photos: Reader Submission

Genevieve Beller sent in this great photo. She explains,"This is my best friend's Cuban grandmother on Christmas Day 2006 showing off her fabulous wardrobe and shoe collection. She's 5 foot nothing, has over 200 pairs of shoes ("All a perfect size five.") and makes the best damn salsa verde on the planet. AND she knitted those awesome socks."
