Peggy Guggenheim

I was recently reminded of art collector and patron Peggy Guggenheim. She had a great love for the avant-garde and supported the careers of many young artists. I love this wonderful photo of Peggy in her signature glasses.

Advanced Style Inspiration: Diana Vreeland

Diana Vreeland was a style icon and influencer for most of the twentieth century. Known for her impeccable taste and appreciation of the Avant Garde, she quickly went from being a columnist at the New York Times to Fashion Editor for Harper's Bazaar and later Editor in Chief of Vogue.

I asked this guy if I could take his photo posed just as he was. He looked cool leaning against the pole in his great belted jacket.

A Beautiful Pair

I saw this couple in the New Museum and just had to take their picture. They both have great shades and look very put together. Sara coordinates her outfit beautifully adding a dazzling pin and cool grey boots.

Nathan and I spotted these two lovely ladies outside the Bryant Park tents. They look elegant in their monochromatic, textured ensembles.

Queen of Williamsburg part III

I stopped by a local bakery on Bedford Ave to see one of my favorite stylish ladies,Leonora Russo. Leonora can often be seen sitting on a bench waving and talking to passers-by. She looked so great that I had to post a few shots of her!

This gentleman came into the New Museum all clad in green. His matching hat, scarf, and pocket square add a classy touch to an overall charming look.

Marvin is one the most stylish shoppers around. I saw him at a local flea market and appreciated his attention to detail.

Advanced Abstractions

I complimented this lady on her abstract sweater and bright red cap. When I told her that it was refreshing to see colorful outfits during the Winter, she responded, "Color Always".

Custom Coat

Custom coats seem to be all the rage if you want to stand out and have an original look during Winter. This lady had her's made uptown.

Dashing in Plaid

This fellow was so enthused by me taking his picture for Advanced Style that he unbuttoned his custom coat to show me his striped RL cardigan.

Winter Wonderland

Joyce looks great in her bright colors and awesome pink sunglasses. She let me know that she has many other cool pairs of glasses and this pair is from a street vendor.
